On the 4th March 2015 Turkish Airlines flight TK726 from Istanbul, a Airbus 330 crash landed at Kathmandu's Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) in Nepal. The airport, Nepal's only international, was closed for four days as there was no heavy equipment to move the disabled Airbus 330 off the single runway. An estimated 80,000 passengers were stranded, before eventually the plane nose was lifted on to a flat-bed truck, and moved from the runway.
